Detailed description of Bellefonte Country Club
Bellefonte Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Ashland, Kentucky.
Bellefonte Country Club first opened for play in 1922. The course was designed by Willie Park, Jr.
In 2006 Bellefonte Country Club hired golf course architect, Arthur Schaupeter, to develop a course master plan. Phase one of this master plan was completed in the Spring of 2006 with the installation of new rectangular bent grass tee boxes and a complete renovation of all bunkers.
This short course has narrow fairways. Many of the greens slope from front to back. The signature hole is #15, a 216-yard, par 3. You tee off through a chute of cottonwood trees to a green fronted by a large lake.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,041 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,932 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par- that plays to 480 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par- that plays to 216 yards from the back tees.
